Here are Clay's thoughts on the matter:
"Our site is a little different. Most sites teach grip, setup, posture, backswing, downswing, etc. What I have realized after thousands of lessons, is that those are all good things to work on, but won't affect your shot quality or score very much.
Think of players like David Duval (extreme grip to the right), Hogan (grip way left), or Tiger (neutral grip). Even though they had very different grips, they were all the best player in the world for a period of time.
I want to get away from traditional fundamentals and talk about the pieces that matter the most, which are the 5 keys in the system.
I would start with level 1 of each section and identify your weaknesses. Once you find several things to work on, I would focus on those areas. If you do, you will see great results."
I'll add to that that grip, posture, stance, etc. are each discussed when relevant to the 5 keys in the TSG System. Better posture helps your Power Turn, for instance.
Last, if you're a beginner that needs lots of detailed instruction on these more basic pieces, this site probably isn't for you.
The System's primarily for folks who've played a while and shoot from scratch to somewhere in the 90s. I'd say the sweet spot for our members' starting handicap is around 8-15, but the range extends a few strokes either way, for sure.
