"I would mostly recommend for beginners and intermediate players to go to the range and get used to hitting the ball. It isn't a bad idea to start with grip and posture, as you mentioned. I will attach those links below. I will also attach a link to a great 4-part video for beginners/ the basic idea of the golf swing.
Until a person is able to make contact consistently, I wouldn't worry too much about lessons. Once they can make good contact with the videos I mentioned above, I would start to work on the 5 pieces of the system.
If they aren't extremely excited about golf, in-person lessons may be a better fit, since they will be more hands on."
